Year 8
Published: 15-10-2024
Dear Parents and Carers of Year 8 Students,
I am the Head of Year 8, Mr Onions. Our class of 2028 students have had a tremendous start to BHCS and I have enjoyed getting to know them, and you as parents/carers, over the last academic year. Our year group continues to impress with their relentless thirst for knowledge, positivity and increasing maturity.
As we now head into our 2nd year at BHCS, our focus begins to change slightly as we now look towards the exciting prospect of Guided Choices!
Year 8 is a year where students are able to fully immerse themselves into the culture and ethos of the school, now that the transition phase is over. As such, I encourage all students to attend as many extra-curricular clubs as possible in year 8, as this will have an immeasurably positive impact on social, emotional and physical health.
I firmly believe that we have a very special year group in the Class of 2028 cohort - I look forward to continuing my work with both the students and you as parents/carers, to ensure the best possible outcomes in Year 11. I'm looking forward to seeing the progress we will make over the coming academic year.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your child's tutor in the first instance - we ask that you contact the tutor first, as they will be able to direct the query to the appropriate place if required.
Kind Regards
Mr R Onions
